Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen Research houses an inter-disciplinary research consortium which investigate pathogens through a combination of experimental, theoretical and computational approaches.

Oxford Nuffield Department of Medicine is one of the top five biomedical institutions in the world and is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for biomedical and clinical research.

To be considered, you will hold, or be close to completion of a PhD with strong quantitative element, such as bioinformatics, computational biology, population/statistical genetics, statistical methods development, etc.

You will also have experience of large-scale statistical data analysis, developing computational or bioinformatics pipelines or software development, evidence of originating and executing your own academic research ideas and excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with others in a team.

The position is full time (part time considered) and fixed term for 3 years in the first instance.
